Film & Discussion with R. Christine Darden!

This Tuesday, February 20th, 2018, join GW SEAS alumna Dr. Christine Darden for a discussion and showing of Hidden Figures.

Dr. Darden was inducted into the GW Engineering Hall of Fame last October.  She began her career at NASA as a data analyst and became known as one of NASA’s “human computers” in the 60s and 70s.  Her story is featured in the 2016 bestseller, Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race.  Dr. Darden will discuss her experience with NASA and her work on supersonic flight and sonic booms.  Please join us if your schedule allows.
