Skill-Building Opportunities during Federal Furlough

Welcome back! Given the current federal government furlough, we know that many members of our GW community may be personally affected by it. These are some work and skill-building opportunities for GW students who may be affected by the shutdown and are interested in building or enhancing their skills:
  • Attend Montgomery County Public Schools Open House
    Friday, January 18th, 9am-3pm
    850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD
  • Volunteer with DC Jobs For Justice
  • Participate in GW Gelman Library Workshops
  • Access free trainings and courses on Lynda.com with GW NetID
Our staff is here to support you throughout your career development. Our office offers individual appointments that you can schedule on Handshake and Power Hours (walk-in/ no appointment necessary) weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-12pm in SEH 1630.
