Launch of the SEAS Center for Women in Engineering – April 26th

Please join GW Provost Forrest Maltzman, SEAS Interim Dean Rumana Riffat, and SEAS Center for Women in Engineering Director Shelly Heller for the launch of the SEAS Center for Women in Engineering. The SEAS Center for Women in Engineering (WiE) is a landmark program serving as a model to overcome the challenges facing women faculty, staff, students, and alumni in engineering. Our goal is to build confidence and knowledge about technology, expand leadership and tech skills, and to fully leverage technology in support of academic and professional excellence.

The keynote address will feature Cecilia Kang, Technology Correspondent for the New York Times; a reception will follow the program at 5:00 p.m.

Co-sponsors of the event include the GW Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Women in Computer Science (WiCS).
