INTERNSHIPS & CO-OP PROGRAM

Electric Boat’s internship and co-op program provides college students opportunities in Engineering and Design, Business Support and Management. Our facilities are located in Groton and New London, Ct. and Quonset Point, R.I. The Electric Boat Intern Program is an opportunity for students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, consolidated bachelor’s/master’s degree program, or master’s degree program. You must be available to work full-time for a minimum of 8-11 weeks, or apply for a semester-long co-op. You also must be able to acquire a security clearance, medical and drug screening. All applicants must apply online or join our talent network.

Engineering Internships

In our Engineering Intern and Co-op Program, you can be part of a team that will apply your skills to the art of nuclear submarine design, engineering, and construction. Become part of the tradition of excellence that has become synonymous with Electric Boat. Our engineering interns are involved with world-class innovation to help design our next generation of submarines and/or support hands-on problem solving during the construction process. You will also be involved with everything from Electric Boat shipyard tours, to exposure to executives and mentors. The internship experience goes beyond your assigned engineering responsibilities.
