The BME/Biological Sciences Virtual Job Search Group is open and accepting registrations. Spaces are limited due to high demand. The Group begins on Monday, October 19, 2020, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm and continues at the same time for four consecutive weekly sessions until Monday, November 9. Students can register to attend on Handshake in the Events Section.
Virtual Job Search Group Description
Dr. Sonya Merrill will facilitate four (4) weekly virtual career discussions focused on topics selected by the participants and others such as: virtual interviewing, networking, social media presence, navigating job search sites, and more. Search strategies and topics will be specific to the field of concentration. Information about research opportunities and graduate school admissions will also be shared. The 4-part series (attendance at all sessions is required) will involve interaction among participants in both small & large group discussions with occasional guest speakers. As facilitator, Dr. Merrill will share tips and resources to assist the group in moving forward to career success. Participants can expect to share progress on career goals and to receive weekly assignments.
