The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Ensuring human comfort, productivity, and safety while practicing environmental stewardship is the mission of AHRI. AHRI’s internship program is approximately 8 weeks long, beginning in late-May. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to professional projects and in turn, develop their skills in problem solving, research, and communication while working in a (virtual) team-oriented environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern for our Information Technology and Business Solutions Team! The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering with strong SQL querying, data management, and data validation skills.
Your internship experience will include:
- Redevelopment of the Unitary directory during the M1 project update – The intern will support the IT and Business Solutions Team in data analysis and organization on this large-scale project, which will provide faster responses to participants so that they can make accurate decisions.
- Support the alignment of all contacts in NetForum with Directory and Cert Applicant Tracker and ACS – AHRI engineers have spreadsheets with years of history for facility inspections. To launch our new facility inspection with accurate contacts, each contact will have to be validated and confirmed.
Qualifications: Actively pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university. Consideration will be given to recent graduates (no more than 6 months since graduation date).
Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Compensation: This is a part-time paid internship at $15/hour, up to 28 hours/week.
