The Operations Career Field is recruiting for a Computer Science or Computer Engineering recent graduate for one position at Langley AFB, VA. The full-time position begins in July.
Position Purpose: This is a formal Air Force intern position established under the Palace Acquire (PAQ) program. This program is intended to develop broad gauged individuals who can deal effectively with change and complexity within the Air Force environment as it relates to their career field. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in the analysis and evaluation of cyber operations, and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and development plan.
This is a GS-07 position with a “full” performance level (“target” grade) of GS-12 via the grade of GS-09 , and GS-11.
Objectives of this Position: To provide experience and training under the Palace Acquire Program which leads to the professional development in the field of analysis and evaluation of cyber operations. The organization organizes, trains and equips Air Force space and cyberspace forces to conduct sustained operations in, through, and from cyberspace and fully integrates with air and space operations. Provides readiness oversight, support, and assessment to their respective wings and independent groups. Ensures unit preparations are maximized to achieve operational effectiveness within available resource constraints. Specifically, to utilize national and assigned capabilities available to anticipating cyber threats and provide well-thought-out
options to posture senior leadership to make timely and effective decisions in and from the cyberspace operations domain; to build and enhance military, federal, and private/civil Cyber Operations collaboration; to apply Offensive Cyber Operations & Defensive Cyber Operations, and to generate and maintain theater cyberspace domain to assure warfighter operational missions.
