What you’ll do as an IT Infrastructure Intern at Akuna:
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Intern to join our dynamic team at Akuna Capital. This person will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting technical issues for all end-users, while working with our team of infrastructure engineers on various projects. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive and able to take ownership of projects and problems with minimal supervision. In this role, you will:
- Work in cooperation with IT engineers in a fast-paced environment
- Provide first tier support to end users
- Monitor and triage request queues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end users
- Create and maintain technical documentation of the infrastructure environment
- Develop tools with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Work with build systems to configure, build and maintain Akuna infrastructure
Qualities that make great candidates:
- Pursing undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical related field
- Graduating in May 2023 or prior
- Understanding of computer networks and infrastructure
- Passion for technology and a desire to focus on IT End User satisfaction
- Ability to work hands-on with PC hardware (installation, lifting, labeling, etc.)
- Can lift at least 30lbs
- Desire to learn infrastructure provisioning/management Tools (e.g. Terraform/Packer/Puppet/Ansible)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required on the first day of employment including F-1 students pursuing CPT, OPT or STEM
