Apex is seeking an electrical engineer intern to work with our Asset Management Team. The intern will work to provide technical support the senior electrical engineer or manager, attend meetings and trainings to build understanding of SEL/Orion relays and RTU’s, assist in project management for events and process system integration. During the internship, the intern will grow insights on wind turbine and solar electrical engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work to provide technical support the senior electrical engineer or manager, attend meetings and trainings to build understanding of SEL/Orion relays and RTU’s, assist in project management for events and process system integration
  • Grow insights on wind turbine and solar electrical engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of and interest in electric power systems in renewable energy
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams of internal and external resources
  • Excellent communication, engineering, and organizational skills
  • Experience with programming and data analytics is a plus
  • Previous Wind Energy or Solar Energy experience is a plus
