As an Integrated Audit Associate (i.e., IS and Financial Audit Associate) in our Assurance practice, you will begin to utilize your educational background as well as your organizational skills as you serve the firm’s dynamic client base. You will assist in problem solving and fact-finding, working side-by-side with more experienced team members who can provide you with direction, coaching and learning opportunities. You will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the business by working on various stages of the audit, including fieldwork in the areas of IT controls assessment, compliance testing, cash, accounts receivable, inventories, fixed assets, accounts payable and accruals.

Essential Duties / Functions:

– Assists in performing audits and review engagements, including risk assessments of various companies’ IT environments, consisting of – but not limited to program change management, operations, and logical access security

– Assists in the preparation of financial statements and applying areas of GAAP

– Provides input to management leaders on suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures

– Maintains relationships with and speaks to key client personnel to obtain an understanding of business operations, processes and functions

– Communicates with the clients’ customers, creditors, banks and related parties concerning audit issues

– Documents work completed by preparing workpapers

– Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Education:

– Bachelors degree in Accounting, MIS / Information Technology or other relevant field required

Experience:

– Prior internship or work study experience of information systems and operational auditing experience beneficial

License/Certifications:

– Actively pursuing completion of CPA licensing

– Considering sitting for the CISA exam in the future

Software:

– Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

– Exposure to industry software such as PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, Lawson, Oracle Financials, Great Plains, Solomon IV and MAS/90-500 highly desired

Other Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

– Excellent oral and written communication skills

– Strong analytical and basic research skills

– Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

– Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

– Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

– Basic knowledge of internal controls

– Ability to travel up to 50%
