This individual will have the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy civil projects such as road, bridge, disaster recovery, etc., performing tasks in all phases of the project (i.e., bid/estimates, field work, documentation, compliance reporting, etc.)ResponsibilitiesComplete Safety and MSHA training and any other site/job specific required trainingCarry-out and practice all Safety training and Company policies in the CalPortland workplaceLearn about all aspects of the operation, to include mining, processing, quality control and heavy equipment repairComplete summer-long Capstone project in one of the following categories:Health and SafetyEnvironmentalProduction and OperationsReclamationAutomation and ControlsMaintenanceMine engineering/geologyLearn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required Attend Summer Intern Orientation event at Corporate Headquarters in Glendora, CAPerform plant tasks as assignedEducationCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, Industrial Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Controls Automation or other related engineering or business field.
