Day to Day Responsibilities:Use knowledge of physics, math, statistics, and advanced analytics to build deep understanding and enable innovation in a selected domainPrepare raw datasets and make them ready for analysis Use the datasets to train analytical and machine learning modelsInterpret the data analysis results in RD&E and/or business context Communicate results both orally and in written form in clear, concise EnglishDocument important findings in internal, structured reportsPartner closely with other scientists/engineers and interns across research, development, and engineering organizations Required Skills:Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above in machine learning or advanced data analytics with a preference for students who have some formal training in machine learning and application of it in scientific disciplines such as physics, materials, engineering or business analyticsStrong programming using either Python (or R) and familiarity with different machine learning and deep learning packagesStrong communication skills (oral and written)Creative and innovative problem-solving abilityAbility to work effectively in a diverse team environment, influence and lead others, and collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutionsResults oriented attitude and strong personal motivation Desired Skills:Interested in real world applications of analytical methods to solve a variety of problemsExpertise of compiling and running codes on high-performance clusters and/or Databricks environments This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
