Position Title: Business Immersion Program Intern Position SummaryBusiness Immersion Program Interns will be immersed into the day-to-day activities of their team, completing meaningful work while learning Crown Castle’s business model and how their team contributes to the company’s success. Intern’s managers will expose them to higher level projects and initiatives within Crown, with an emphasis on developing the intern’s strategic thinking and understanding of the industry. In addition to their functional managers, interns will also work closely with current participants in the full-time Business Immersion Program in order to experience what the full-time program is like. Throughout the summer, interns will be challenged with case studies hosted by full-time BIP participants as well as a company-wide intern case competition. In addition to immersive experiences in their functional teams and the full-time BIP, interns will receive extensive professional and leadership development opportunities through mentorship with their full-time BIP mentor, functional manager, the BIP Director, and more.Program Mission and GoalCrown Castle’s Business Immersion Program is a full-time, two-year rotational development program designed to recruit, develop and grow future-ready leaders. Program participants will be well-rounded with an enterprise mindset and holistic understanding of the business. The BIP consists of three immersive, eight-month assignments across diverse functions within the company. The program includes the ability to choose a specialized path—Technology and Innovation, Finance, or Process and Performance—or a more general path with the opportunity to work more broadly across specialized paths. Over the two years, teammates build the networks, skills, and knowledge foundational to successful careers at Crown. This posting is for the Business Immersion Program (BIP) Internship, which gives interns direct exposure to the full-time Business Immersion Program and the experience of a shortened rotation assignment in an 8-10-week internship. This internship function can align to a variety of teams within Crown, and will be determined based on candidate interest, business need, and development potential. Placement OpportunitiesInternal placements of BIP interns will align to business needs and manager availability to ensure an optimal value-added internship experience. Placements can be within a variety of Crown Castle Teams (e.g. Towers, Network, Supply Chain, Business Performance, Finance, Project Management, Real Estate Organizations, etc.). Relocation may be a possibility based on business need and proximity to Crown Castle offices. Essential Job FunctionsIntegrate into a Crown Castle internal team, perform duties and tasks as an intern within that team, and form relationships with teammates.Learn how the internship ties into Crown Castle’s business model as well as become familiar with various aspects of the telecom industry, such as design and construction, project implementation, project delivery, finance, legal and jurisdictional requirements, etc.Gain insight into trends and decisions in the market that affect Crown Castle’s business.Participate in high-level initiatives, opportunities, and projects within team or business sector to better understand what challenges management faces.Partner with a current member of the full-time BIP program to collaborate on internship-related tasks and other BIP specific functions.Complete weekly 1 on 1 meetings with BIP Internship Manager and full-time BIP mentor.Contribute to BIP program-wide events such as BIP biweekly cohort calls, quarterly earnings call discussions, and financial development meetings.Network with current and former BIP members to learn more about opportunities at Crown.Partake in the Crown Castle Case Study Competition as well as work on a BIP Internship specific case.
