Seeking a career and not just a job? Daikin is looking for graduating seniors to join our production engineering team. As a new hire, you will join a fast-paced, high-powered manufacturing group that produces HVAC condensers, furnaces and air handlers. Our manufacturing facility (DTTP) has sheet metal fabrication, tubing fabrication, electrical wire manufacturing/assembly, plastic injection molding, resistance welding, Copper/aluminum tubing brazing, and complete product assembly including 100% testing of final assembly. The daily requirements are technically challenging and will provide you with the opportunity to develop engineering and project management skill sets. No small task for an operation of this size! DTTP has multiple high technology powder paint lines, dozens of final product assembly lines/kitting areas, and hundreds of machines that are used to fabricate wires, tubing, sheetmetal, and plastics, which run 3 shifts a day, 5 – 7 days a week.
New hires could work on projects such as process improvement, Kaizen events, quality improvement, system design and assembly line design. All of this work directly impacts the daily operation of our world-class manufacturing plant.
Successful students would have the following skills: strong quantitative and problem solving skills coupled with an inquisitive nature and a passion for making things work better; organizational skills, identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities, superior ability to understand, analyze and assess a wide variety of complex manufacturing issues, excellent written and verbal communication skills, Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD or other computer aided design software, ability to analyze cost data and calculate savings.
· Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering Technology (or similar);
· Graduation Dates: May 2021-December 2023

· Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (overall and major);
