Not only will interns assist with day-to-day tasks assisting their direct supervisors – they will be contributing members of major projects and be provided a mentor who will groom them toward not only attaining class credit but play an integral role in making Dynamic a more dynamic entity of one. We are currently searching for 2021 Summer Intern to work flexible dates – From May 2021 to August 2021. Hours will be 7AM-3:30PM (M-F). Pay is DOE: $17/hr. Work locations will be at either or Hillside Campus location. Those interning for class credit are highly preferred. Internships may lead to regular full-time employment, but this is dependent on interns’ overall performance, company need and demand. There are no guarantees.

Assist Applications and Software Controls Engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining application projects. Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts as well as an aptitude for programming.
Essential Functions: · Interface and collaborate with Production Engineers, Quality Engineers, Mechanical Design Engineers, Maintenance Technicians and Calibration Technicians · Implement projects that involve: o Interfacing Data Acquisition Systems (DAQs) and programable logic devices (PLCs) with: § Various analog devices (such as pressure, displacement, acceleration, force…) § Discrete devices (such as push buttons, solenoid valves, limit, and proximity switches…) o Creating a mechanism for:
§ Saving or displaying results § Graphical interface for operators Qualifications: · Knowledge of and willingness to learn: o Data acquisition systems such as NI hardware, Measurement and Computing and PLCs (Automation Direct family brands, Allen Bradly, Omron…), Arduino, Raspberry pi o Types and functionality of analog sensors and discrete devices o Programming languages such as: LabVIEW, NXG, C, Ladder Logic and Python o Basic PCB design o Drawing electrical schematics using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Visio o Microsoft Access and/or SQL databases · Strong communication skills · Organized, skilled in technical writing and thorough in documenting work Educational Requirements: Currently enrolled in A.S., A.A.S, B.S., M.S., or PhD program in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or similar Helpful Coursework: Intro to Engineering, Circuits and Electronics, Circuits and Electronics Lab, Measurement and Computing, Intro and Advanced Programming, Digital Design, Microcontrollers, Microcontrollers Lab
