The Engineering Intern will support our Vileda Professional team at Freudenberg Household Products (FHP). This role is ideal for a current engineering student going into their final year of school, with a desire to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

NOTE – This is a summer 2025 internship located in Aurora, IL. As this role is based on-site, we are seeking local candidates only.

Responsibilities

  • Generate product specifications for new and existing offerings.
  • Support product and lab testing (note – this can involve physical labor, such as testing cleaning products).
  • Compile data from testing and format into a PPT technical report.
  • 3D-CAD Modeling (SolidWorks) (projects will be dependent on skill level).
  • Competitive product research and analysis (matrix of offerings, prices, specs, performance claims, etc.).
  • Project work such as utilizing AI.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Engineering or Science (technical). Preference for mechanical/biomedical engineering students going into final year of studies.
  • Seeking a 25-40 hour/week summer internship for 2025.
  • Must have ability to work on-site in Aurora during summer 2025. Housing/relocation not provided.
  • Comfortable working in a facility that includes office, production, and warehouse, including physical labor such as testing cleaning products.
  • Preference for candidates with SolidWorks knowledge. Strong computer skills required, including MS Office.
  • Prior internship/job experience a plus.
