We are seeking candidates for our entry-level Associate Consultant position in our Washington, DC office. Responsibilities will include extensive financial analyses, computer modeling, fact-finding, research, and document review. Specific analyses may include calculation of economic damages and lost profits, evaluation of claims related to business and regulatory disputes, schedule analysis of construction delays, and cost overrun analysis. Candidates may assist with the preparation and review of damage claims and counter claims related to business disputes, including those involved in litigation, arbitration, or mediation. Candidates may also assist in the preparation of expert reports, expert testimony and exhibits for trial, alternative dispute resolutions, or settlement negotiations. Most importantly, candidates will work on maintaining and fostering client relationships through superior client service. Candidates should be willing to travel to client locations and other HKA offices as required.
Candidates must have or be working toward a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. All candidates with an Economics major should have taken at least one Accounting or Finance class. Candidates must have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Candidates should be graduating in May 2022 or December 2021. Applicants must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential.
