Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Event Intern, your role is to assist the event coordinator team in providing excellent customer service to both clients and talent. Responsibilities include maintaining/updating speaker calendars and marketing materials, researching client background information for event briefs, merging and formatting event briefs, attending and taking notes on conference calls with speakers and clients, and performing other projects as assigned.
In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to attend all speaker visits at company headquarters.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited university in communications, marketing, events, hospitality or related discipline.
Additionally, they must have:
– The ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure
– SUPERB organizational and teamwork skills
– A strong sense of responsibility
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong computer skills including Word and Excel

This position is based in our Washington, DC headquarters. Our offices are conveniently located in downtown Washington, DC, close to the Farragut North and West Metro Stations.
