The Summer Internship at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) (headquartered in Rockville, MD) is designed to provide graduate students with an interest in health care systems, consulting, project management, and strategic planning the opportunity to spend their summer working on challenging projects in a professional environment. The internship is designed to provide a wide array of experiences that traverse the areas of consulting, analytics, project management, strategy, communications, and executive leadership.
Interns receive a competitive stipend for participation in the program. The internship duration is flexible; with a typical duration of 12 weeks between May and August. An internship in the MAPMG President’s Office is a unique opportunity to learn about a distributed model of innovation at the nation’s leading health care organization. An intern will engage directly and support the MAPMG Director of the Office of the President and Regional Co-Lead of Innovations and members of the team. In the past, interns have worked on a variety of high-profile projects to optimize value for consumers, employees, healthcare providers, and patients.
