Part- time 20-30 hours per pay period. Non-exempt $18 per hour.

Position Overview:

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for assisting the accounting department with various tasks. Primary duties include processing member timesheets, processing cash deposits, reconciling accounts receivable account, and aiding in preparation for the annual audit and/or other outside reviewers. The Accounting Coordinator maintains a strong working relationship with MCC staff and members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Responsibilities:

· Enter cash deposit activities into accounting system

· Update Petty Cash reconciliation, when petty cash reimbursements are received

· Reconcile and review accounts receivables and pursue past due items

· Perform monthly donation and grants reconciliation between accounting program and Salesforce

· Assist with project invoicing; including recording the invoice to the organization’s accounting system

· Provide back-up staffing as needed for other accounting activities such as accounts payable and payroll

Administrative and Information Reporting Duties:

· Oversee collection and recording of member timesheets, including lead sheet creation, printing timesheets, reviewing for mathematical accuracy, and updating distribution codes in the accounting system and entering hours into the member term in Salesforce

· Filing staff and member timesheets

· Filing various payroll and staff related documents

· Maintains employee confidence by keeping information confidential

· Assist Finance Director, Vice President of Finance and Operations, and President/CEO, as needed

· Be an engaged and contributing member of the Administrative Team

Qualifications & Skills:

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Associates Degree in Accounting or related field or 2 years of related experience

· Strong interpersonal and administrative skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Google Suite

· Solid 10 key calculator skills

· Experience with computerized accounting programs

· Able to quickly write routine correspondence, reports and memoranda

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· A valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable per MCC parameters

· Experience with MIP Fund Accounting program

· Experience with Salesforce
