Key duties and responsibilities:
As an Accounting Clerk, you could either assist in entering Accounts Payable for Vendors and Customers or assist with entering Accounts Receivable checks from customers and completing daily deposits.
Some administrative duties are intertwined in the role of an Accounting Clerk. These duties may include research and resolutions of situations that vary in nature. Our client provides ongoing training to enhance the knowledge and accuracy in responding to inquiries of diverse complexity.
Monitor daily work and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure results are obtained.
Assist in recording month-end close journal entries.
Assist with bank reconciliations.
Gather and maintain substantiation for transactions.
Maintain filing system for corporate accounting department.
Supporting annual audits.
1 – 2 years accounting experience.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and financial markets is desired
Detail-oriented with ability to accurately complete tasks.
Self-motivated with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Ability to research accounting related topics, draw conclusion and present findings.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and proficient in excel
Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts both professionally and effectively.
An ability to work independently
