OverviewSuccessful execution of engineering tasks requiring the application and interpretation of standard and advanced principles, techniques and procedures in a professional, productive and creative manner. Should demonstrate the ability to successfully complete tasks on schedule and within budget. Should demonstrate working knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and products. Performs work which requires knowledge and experience in a field of engineering which may include a variety of complex technical problems, innovation, and coordination requirements to complete assignments.Responsibilities• Perform primary engineering role in moderately complex technical assignments.• Reviews and approves engineering product or process design changes.• Demonstrated knowledge of Southco manufacturing processes, techniques, materials, finishes, documentation systems, CAD system, and business system.• Can provide engineering assistance to customers both inside and outside of Southco.• Successfully complete projects with minimal supervision.• Other duties as assigned Qualifications• BS Engineering or equivalent degree• Demonstrated ability to work in a Team Environment• 0-1 years of relevant technical experience (Co-op experience is acceptable)• Computer competency/expertise as related to CAD, Business Systems,etc. Note, this position does not offer relocation.
