Internship position in a team which works in validating designs in flagship phones, tablets, PCs and even cars include human interface devices which use Synaptics’ touch sensing controllers.
These touch controllers are ASICs which comprise a custom microcontroller and specialized analog blocks for sensing tiny changes in capacitance.
A test development intern will create new tests designed to characterize ASICs up to and beyond their breaking point. The intern will be responsible for the
development of tests (under guidance) execution of the tests, statistical analysis of results and communication of findings.
Tests will explore multiple characteristics of the mixed signal ASICs, including the responses to excursions of voltage, frequency, phase, temperature and load.
Electrical, electronic, computer engineering or related field of study. Working towards a bachelors’ or higher level degree.
Experience in application of statistics for commercial purposes.
Good communications skills
