If you see an overlap with your skills, go ahead and apply!The Role:Apply your knowledge of C/C++, operating systems, distributed systems, and hardware instruction sets to develop custom tools for system composition, cyber assurance, and reverse engineeringWork in small research teams to develop innovative software prototypesDevelop research concepts from proposal through to implementation and transitiWho You Are:A US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security ClearanceA mid- to senior-level software engineer or a recent PhD Computer Science graduateProficiency writing software in C/C++, familiarity with assembly language and PythonExperience with operating system internals, such as file systems, memory/process/thread management, device drivers and/or loadable kernel modulesUnderstanding of and experience with modern compilers, such as LLVM, GCC, and/or MSVCMotivated collaborator and effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiencesOther Relevant Skills You May Have:Experience building compiler extensions and/or debugging compiler-related issuesUnderstanding of modern JIT compilersExperience performing static/dynamic/symbolic program analysisFamiliarity with Scala, Haskell, or RustExperience with graph theory as applied to taint tracking and data flowsSystems & Technology Research (STR) is a rapidly growing technology company with locations north of Boston, MA, Arlington, VA and near Dayton, OH.
