You’ll be paired with a mentor and get the chance to work on projects with our staff and solve hard problems to enhance our nation’s security.Job Description:Students will work as part of project teams with mentorship from experienced staffCollaborate with technical experts to solve problems related to signal processing, image/video processing, machine learning, computer vision, statistical estimation, object tracking, optimization, control systems, data analytics, cyber defense, sensor hardware development, and social media processingSupport all phases of projects -Problem designSolution discoveryDevelopment of prototype algorithms and systems in software and/or hardwareExperimentation and data analysisSystem implementation/integration for test and fielded systemsEnrollment in a BS, MS or PhD degree program in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or related technical disciplineStrong academic record and interest in researchBackground/experience in one of the following areas: signal processing, image/video processing, machine learning, computer vision, computational hardware, RF hardware, software development, “big data” processing, scientific computing skills (MATLAB, python)US citizenship is requiredPerks:Competitive payFree housing at a local universityFun summer activities both inside and outside the officeSystems & Technology Research (STR) is a rapidly growing technology company with locations north of Boston, MA, Arlington, VA and near Dayton, OH.
