Transfinder, a leading software provider for Transportation Management Systems, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated UI/UX Designer to join our growing team. This individual will work closely with the development teams, Scrum Masters, Technology Management, and internal stakeholders. As the Product Owner, the UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing new features and products and prioritizing items within the backlog, sprints and releases. They will participate in refinement, planning and review meetings as well as other design focused meetings. They are responsible for requirements gathering and responding to internal and external inquiries throughout the development and release lifecycles as the product expert.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, optimism and dedication
  • Conduct requirements gathering
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, standards, and design trends
  • Rapid prototyping of design solutions for our current and future product line (client, web, and mobile applications)
  • Write and maintain detailed specifications
  • Lead the effort of story decomposition and prioritization
  • Participate in backlog refinement meetings
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings communicating the priorities
  • Participate in sprint retrospectives
  • Present work in a group setting
  • Drive the pace of development projects
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and other activities to gain client feedback

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices
  • Detail oriented, highly motivated and self-directed
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on design or comparable design experience
  • Ability to present complex designs across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Responsive to feedback
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum
  • Proficient in Axure preferred
  • Familiarity with JIRA preferred
