The Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP) is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Cyber Security Engineer. The Cyber Security Engineer will work as a part of a five-person security team made up of a technical lead, project manager, and two cyber security engineers.
LOCATION: Madison, WI with infrequent statewide travel required. Certain positions with this Department may allow remote work for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic may be discussed in the interview process. The position is headquartered in Wisconsin and selected candidates may be expected to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice. Employees residing outside the state of Wisconsin are not eligible for full‐time remote work.
SALARY: Minimum salary $75,000 annually with a State of Wisconsin benefits package. Salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
1) Assists with planning, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive enterprise-wide security program that protects the court system’s information systems. 2) Effectively responds to all reported security incidents and other reports of suspicious activity. 3) Manages user accounts; assures defined user authentication procedures are strictly followed for new account creations, account terminations, and account authority changes; performs routine user account auditing. 4) Monitors networks and computer systems for security breaches, through use of software that detects intrusions, anomalous system behavior, and unauthorized network-attached devices. 5) Plans and participates in cyber security improvement projects for the purpose of maintaining a mature security program for the courts. 6) Ensures all operating systems and software applications in the court system enterprise are up-to-date with security patches as required by the IT Security Program.
1) College level courses in network security, computer support, networking, or related field. 2) Experience performing complex technical implementations with cyber security responsibilities. 3) Experience as member of an enterprise technology support/implementation team. 4) Demonstrated competencies in cyber security technologies.
1) Employment will require a criminal background check. 2) Must meet the minimum standards for driving a state vehicle. 3) Must be able to travel throughout the State of Wisconsin with occasional overnights.
