Wanna create the next “big thing” with Fed Tech?

Fed Tech is currently looking for those who want to start their “next thing” and be paired with a technology coming out of a Federal Government lab to potentially create a company. We have had luck with graduate students and alumni of engineering programs as their technical expertise and drive make them great people to start companies. Fed Tech builds the teams and guides the cohort through a premiere 8-week Startup Studio where participants explore markets, build business models and learn about how to turn a concept into a commercial product.

We are currently recruiting entrepreneurs for our Spring cohort starting in late March/early April. This cohort will feature technologies in cybersecurity, microelectronics, digital health, and autonomous systems. Since we are government sponsored, there is no cost to participate in the program and no equity taken from the companies formed. We also intentionally designed the Startup Studio to be completed with a “day job,” asking that they commit an average of 10-15 hours per week during the 8-week program. The best graduating teams have the chance to enter our Pre-Accelerator for additional support and resources. Being local, we would love to get some GWU students and alumni part of our program.

Those interested can visit https://www.fedtech.io/apply to apply to be an entrepreneur (or a mentor for a team). Those with specific questions can reach out directly out to me (Amanda.Stein@fedtech.io) or our general support at hello@fedtech.io.  I am also happy to set up a call with both of you to discuss more if you would like.
