Employer Engagement Opportunities at the School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS)

Employer Tabling / “Meet & Greet”: Employers set up a table to showcase their company and/or promote opportunities within the company. Similar to your own personal “career fair”. This activity will also prove to be a great way to improve overall brand recognition amongst the student population. Table and chairs provided. Days: Monday-Thursday. Hours: 11am-2pm. 

Information Session or Tech Talk: Employers can formally or informally present information to an audience. This may include industry trends, technical talks, overview of your company, creative professional development workshops (i.e. How to Create an Effective LinkedIn Profile) etc.  Note, if you are recruiting for another major such as business, please let us know as we are open to doing a joint information session. General IT provided. Catering permitted with your own planning & payment. See “Employer Resources” at the bottom of this page for a list of local caterers. Days: Monday-Thursday. Hours: 12pm-6pm. 

On-Campus Interviews (OCI): Interview engineering students on-campus. Currently, we only offer ROOM ONLY interviews at GW SEAS. If you’d like for GW/Handshake to manage interview slots for you, please contact oci@gwu.edu. Days: Monday-Thursday. Hours: 9am-5pm. (Interviews must end at 5pm)

For all event requests, please avoid these dates:  Key dates such as fall break or final exams on the GW Academic Calendar as well as Major Religious Holidays.

The GW STEM + Health Career Connection Fair is an opportunity to recruit undergraduate and graduate students for research, internship, and full-time employment opportunities – allowing you to build and expand your brand on campus as well as seed your talent pipeline. Students from GW’s School of Engineering & Applied Science, Milken Institute of Public Health, and Columbian College of Arts & Sciences will be represented, as well as students from our many other NSF-classified STEM disciplines across GW’s fourteen schools. 
This spring we will be hosting a GW STEM Industry Insights & Networking Pop Up for all STEM  students (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math). At this event, students will get the opportunity to interface with industry-specific professionals for networking, recruiting, and to gain insight into their possible future career in an informal setting. Think of it as a fair without all the fuss of a suit & tie! Dress for this event is: Casual to Business Casual.
