Undergraduate Students

SEAS undergraduate students are provided comprehensive career services from both the W. Scott Amey Career Services Center, housed within the School of Engineering & Applied Science, and the GW Center for Career Services. As each student pursues their unique career path, we assist them in developing clear action steps, guided by the essential professional competencies.


Attend a variety of educational and informational workshops to help you understand and prepare for the career search process. You can also meet with potential employers and connect with alumni at employer information sessions. panels, and career fairs.

  • First Year Appointments: Meet with peer advisors to get help with your resume, Handshake profile, and resources.
  • Career Exploration: Meet with a career coach to discuss career and major exploration, take a career assessment, and discuss general internship and job search strategy.
    • SEAS Undergraduate Career Counseling: Meet specifically with the SEAS career coach in the SEH.
  • Industry Career Coaching: Meet with a career coach to get industry-specific guidance on applications and networking.
