In this role, you will become a team member of the Hess Office of Cybersecurity, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of Hess computing systems and data that support business operations.
You will serve as a cybersecurity professional for your project and its stakeholders, helping to identify technical and business risks and recommending the best course of action to mitigate business risk.
Working alongside a designated Cybersecurity Mentor, you may have the opportunity to work on projects that focus on solving the following problems:
- Designing and Documenting Security Controls for Cloud Services, Operational Technology, Data, Networks, or Emerging Technology
- Enhancing Third-Party Risk Management processes to minimize the impact to business operations.
- Automating detection and response capabilities to rapidly contain cybersecurity events.

- As a member of the Office of Cybersecurity, you are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards of behavior.
- Analyze problems that result in solutions that support the core tenets of cybersecurity: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of data and systems.
- Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to formulate an end-to-end understanding of the connection of technology and business risk and use your cybersecurity skills to determine the best outcome while minimizing cyber risk.
