Energy Land & Infrastructure (ELI) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern or Co-op Student for the Summer of 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to access hands-on experience working on projects that impact our communities in a collaborative environment. The Engineering Intern will assist and supports the Project Manager and engineering team with multiple design projects.
An ideal candidate would demonstrate a growing degree of judgment and capabilities in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills are required for this position. Problem-solving skills as well as an interest in developing a knowledge of engineering principles and objectives are necessary. In general, these responsibilities may include, but not limited to the following:
- Assist with development of design drawing packages through the usage of CAD design software.
- General project support, including data collection, research, documentation, and quantity takeoffs for materials.
- Assist with as-built data organization, collection, and reporting utilizing MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
- Learn basic principles of Consulting Engineering.
- Assist with project research, project administration work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Learn responsible and ethical decision-making skills regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- AutoCAD: 1+ year (Preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Civil Engineering accredited degree program

- Monday to Friday
- May-August 2024
- 30+ hours per week
