What You Will Do:
As a Textile Engineer Intern with HNI Workplace Furnishings, you will join our Colors, Materials, and Finishes team in Muscatine, IA. The Colors, Materials, and Finishes team is responsible for managing the brand’s entire textiles portfolio. As a member of this team, you will gain experience testing fabrics and materials, color matching, working with suppliers, and more!
Each summer, HNI interns receive a project (or two!) for the summer and work directly with a mentor for technical and professional guidance. Throughout the summer, HNI interns are offered career development experiences such as skill-building workshops and opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.
Outside of work, HNI interns enjoy professional and social networking opportunities with 70+ other HNI interns throughout the Muscatine community. This is a paid internship spanning approximately 10 weeks; housing is provided if needed. Depending on the flexibility of the role, the internship may have the opportunity to be completed remotely.
What You Have:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering
- Highly motivated to learn
- Strong communication skills
