The Business intelligence Analyst
SUMMARY:
The Business intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable BI solutions to meet organization’s analytical and reporting requirements while architecting a robust offering of data visualization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop BI dashboards to meet group’s reporting objectives and to transform data into knowledge to support data-informed decision making.
- Gather business requirements from various cross-functional groups of their reporting and data analysis need and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
- Responsible for data integrity as well as the quality of data; collaborates with technology and other staff to develop plans to avoid or mitigate data quality issues.
- Maintain existing BI dashboards, reports, reporting systems, SLAs and continue to tune and optimize these reports and queries for current and future data.
- Manage project scope and ensure work is completed on-track and within budget.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in creating complex dashboards using Power BI
- Strong knowledge of Power BI desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, Data Modeling, Relational Databases, and SQL
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data integration, and knowledge of data transformation and cleansing techniques.
- Any Power BI or Microsoft data-related technologies certification is a plus
- Ability to work in large, complex development BI projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
